Adventure Damascus Bicycles, the Virginia Creeper Trail's first full-service bicycle shop featuring sales, repairs, and bike rentals, opened their doors in 1998 and quickly outgrew their downtown Damascus location. Sundog Outfitter, was opened in 2001 to expand the availability of rental bikes and shuttle service for the Virginia Creeper. Both locations combined in 2021 to become
the largest rental bike and shuttle service provider on the trail. Sundog is your one-stop source for information on the Virginia Creeper Trail, Appalachian Trail,
Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, and all the hiking and mountain biking trails in the greater Damascus and Abingdon, Va area.
